Millie Mackintosh wears a Sandro Fur Gilet - price unknown.
Top left : American Eagle Outfitters Gilet
Middle left: Topshop Gilet
Bottom left: Topshop Gilet
Main feature: Missguided Gilet
This Autumn season I am OBSESSED with gilets. Especially faux fur ones! I don't even know how this obsession started but it has and it has me hooked! These are a few of my favourites at the moment, my favourite one has to be Millies as I love the colour grey! It seems to me that you can pair a gilet with pretty much anything and it will look so chic! I am definitely investing in one next pay day!

Amsterdam 16th-18th September 2014
So this summer I got to travel to two beautiful european cities with two
of my best friends by my side. This montage of photos are from our (short) time
in Amsterdam, "the city that doesn't give a fuck and are very polite". Amsterdam
is definitely a wake up call compared to our small city here, it has a very chilled
vibe where everyone feels comfortable talking about anything and they are just
delightful! As we said we didn't have very long but we managed to squeeze in the sex museum,
the Amsterdam sign, a coffee shop, a boat tour and of course a bar crawl!
I always enjoy bar crawls in european cities as everyone has a story to tell and usually
everyones from somewhere different! Its just eye opening and fun quite honestly! I would
recommend it to anyone!

PalmPrint weekend :)
Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Watch and Sunglasses - Urban outfitters.
I picked up this skirt from Topshop a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop wearing it!
I've discovered it can't be teamed up with a lot of things so I put together an outfit with the main colour which was black to be safe and this skirt is also a good starting point if you aren't used to statement prints!

Skincare routine. 16/02/14
Cleanser - Neals Yard Remedies (For dry and sensitive skin)
Moisturiser - Garnier Moisture Match (illuminating lotion)
Concealer - No7 Cool Ivory
I have only just adopted this skincare routine but I am quite liking the benefits. My skin feels fresh and not clogged by my usual foundation that I apply everyday and also my skin seems brighter too.
My mum always recommends cleansers to me because she doesn't think I cleanse enough so this time I took her advice and bought "Neals Yard Remedies" Calendula cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
It's made with certified organic ingredients and it actually smells quite nice so its worth a try in my eyes!
The moisturiser I've started using is Garniers "Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion", its light and non greasy so you won't feel it clogging up your skin like some moisturisers do throughout the day. It also states it lasts up to 24 hours but I think thats a bit of an exaggeration as by the time its 24 hours you would of normally put some more on anyway. However besides this doubt, it smells nice and also protects your face from the sun as its 20 SPF. Its also suitable for sensitive skin!
Okay, the concealer isn't a skincare product but it still can just help you hide those little marks or small spots that seem to just appear overnight at times. I use this so I don't have to wear foundation in the day as its best to let your skin breathe a lot of the time. My friend recommended this concealer to me and it works amazingly, my spots are always toned down and my small marks have gone.
(Don't use on scars that are still healing or spots that seem infected because it will clog up the pores more).
Thanks

This is my make up bag, I don't have much in it because I generally don't wear much make up everyday but I will do a post for "going out make up routine" later on.
I'm quite particular when buying make up because its so easy to buy the wrong thing and waste money so I always ask the make up artist or maybe a friend to see if its actually worth trying.
The piece of make up I couldn't live without has to be my eyeliner, I love making my eyes look enhanced so this is an essential to do so and I feel naked without any!
I have only just tried MAC make up and I can see why theres so much hype! It doesn't feel greasy or heavy on my skin and the colour is a great match to my skin so I would recommend it to anyone! (I use MAC SPF 15 colour ). I also didn't know you primed your skin before you put on foundation, I usually only use this when I go out as I think its to much to do every day and would eventually be bad for your skin.
What make up cant you live without? Anything to recommend?

One of my favourite designers!
I have decided to write a post on Henry Holland as he is a very well established fashion designer and how he portrays his work is such an individual creation. Henry Holland started out by graduating from the London College of Printing with a BA Journalism, he started his quirky slogan Tees in 2006 as a bit of a joke but when the designers Gareth Pugh and Giles Deacon wore t-shirts that joked about each other Henry was launched into a international fashion career which in three months would have him making clothes for clients such as Marc Jacobs, Christopher Kane and Nicole Richie. He worked with the model Agyness Dean to promote his quirky 80’s style t-shirts that promoted slogans such as “ I’ll tell you who’s boss, Kate Moss”. He started to expand to womenswear, accessories and underwear as him and Agyness were flown to international fashion events such as American Vogue‟s annual Met Ball and shot together for the cover of Dazed & Confused Japan which launched him into having international stockists which he could easily boast about and helped him to be taken seriously as a brand.
I chose to analyse Henry Holland as I admire his quirkiness that got him noticed in the fashion industry in the first place as I feel its important to be different within big industries like this especially the fashion one, he has also done collaborations with other designers such as Levis and has created one off pieces like a pink wedding dress for the LA boutique of REVOLVE. He is very connected with social media because of his blogging experience and so he finds it easy to promote new designs, technology has made the design industry so much more accessible because they are able to promote and get noticed around the world instantly without even having to go. His signatures are “bold, irreverent and colourful" which are instantly noticed in his women’s clothing, when interviewed by London Fashion Week he explained that he designed with a London girl’s aesthetic in mind and he also loved to see girls wearing his designs in their own unique way.
As much as I love his designs and his work, I do think its slightly over priced because yes they are individual to an extent but he has to be careful that other designers don’t start copying his style and sell it off for a lower price, I know a lot of his fans will stay loyal to him but his target audience are late teens to probably mid to late 20s and we don’t all have countless amounts of money to spare on clothes. However even though his prices may be a little high this does usually promote good quality clothing which people do usually look for so I think he has a very busy future ahead of him.

Tartantastic.
//Shirt - Urban Oufitters//Scarf - Retro Apparel//Leggings - Daisy Street//Trousers - Urban Outfitters//
This is one of my favourite trends of Autumn 2013 as Tartan can be worn as different pieces but still look on top of its game. I picked a few examples when I was doing some online shopping and found that quite a few clothing brands didn't have it as one of their main trends which I found quite strange but then thought they do sometimes associate Tartan with the "Punk" and "Checked" trend. I particularly like the Tartan trousers as they can be worn in a casual or formal situation depending what you put it with, for example the trousers on the far right could be worn at a job interview if you teamed it with a shirt and smart shoes but it could also be worn casually when it's teamed with a jumper and creepers.
Do you like the tartan trend?
