Millie Mackintosh wears a Sandro Fur Gilet - price unknown.

Main feature: Missguided Gilet

This Autumn season I am OBSESSED with gilets. Especially faux fur ones! I don't even know how this obsession started but it has and it has me hooked! These are a few of my favourites at the moment, my favourite one has to be Millies as I love the colour grey!  It seems to me that you can pair a gilet with pretty much anything and it will look so chic! I am definitely investing in one next pay day!

Amsterdam 16th-18th September 2014

So this summer I got to travel to two beautiful european cities with two
of my best friends by my side. This montage of photos are from our (short) time
in Amsterdam, "the city that doesn't give a fuck and are very polite". Amsterdam
is definitely a wake up call compared to our small city here, it has a very chilled
vibe where everyone feels comfortable talking about anything and they are just
delightful! As we said we didn't have very long but we managed to squeeze in the sex museum,
the Amsterdam sign, a coffee shop, a boat tour and of course a bar crawl!
I always enjoy bar crawls in european cities as everyone has a story to tell and usually
everyones from somewhere different! Its just eye opening and fun quite honestly! I would
recommend it to anyone!

Freshers Ball 21/09/2014

Top - Urban outfitters Skirt - ASOS Marketplace Choker - Topshop

I have recently started university again for my third and FINAL year
and I got the opportunity to attend my last ever freshers week! Which
obviously I could not miss out on! So here is my outfit for the famous
DMU freshers ball. I didn't want to go all out as I am only a third year
and I thought this combination including my heeled converses would be
enough to impress all those freshers out there! I had a wonderful time seeing
Gorgon City and Sigma live! They were wonderful!

31/07/14

I love London. The busy streets, the little cafes on the corner and the fact you discover something new every time you travel there.
We were walking through Soho and stumbled on a cafe called "Joe & The Juice". I'd seen this unusual logo'd brand in Oslo a couple of months ago but never thought to give it a try because in Oslo there were so many of them I didn't think it would be an Norwegian experience. However, for some reason when I spied it in a street in Soho, London I decided to give it a chance because honestly I was so tired of walking around I thought it would just be a good place to sit down but to my surprise it was a quaint little place filled with people drinking juice on their apple macs.
In my head I thought "oh jeez" this is clearly the place to be for hipsters but to be honest, it has a good atmosphere and the juices are refreshing and high quality.
We also paid a visit to the Natural History Museum, well the butterfly farm exhibition that was placed next door but our hearts were in the right place. The butterfly exhibition was like another world. They had created this mini jungle with tropical butterflies fluttering around in the middle of a park in London, magical! I was surprised at how many butterflies they had within the enclosure, including cocoons that were hatching at that very moment we walked in! People were desperately trying to get a butterfly to land on them, I was one of the lucky ones because even though I had a floral jacket on it went for my sunglasses! Obviously selfless were taken because you cant have a butterfly on your head and not want to document it with a smile!
The next time I go to London I will visit Shoreditch because so many people have told me stories about it but I have never had the opportunity or well guided person to take me!

PalmPrint weekend :)

Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Watch and Sunglasses - Urban outfitters.

I picked up this skirt from Topshop a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop wearing it!
I've discovered it can't be teamed up with a lot of things so I put together an outfit with the main colour which was black to be safe and this skirt is also a good starting point if you aren't used to statement prints!

Skincare routine. 16/02/14

Cleanser - Neals Yard Remedies (For dry and sensitive skin)
Moisturiser - Garnier Moisture Match (illuminating lotion)
Concealer - No7 Cool Ivory

I have only just adopted this skincare routine but I am quite liking the benefits. My skin feels fresh and not clogged by my usual foundation that I apply everyday and also my skin seems brighter too.
My mum always recommends cleansers to me because she doesn't think I cleanse enough so this time I took her advice and bought "Neals Yard Remedies" Calendula cleanser for dry and sensitive skin.
It's made with certified organic ingredients and it actually smells quite nice so its worth a try in my eyes!

The moisturiser I've started using is Garniers "Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion", its light and non greasy so you won't feel it clogging up your skin like some moisturisers do throughout the day. It also states it lasts up to 24 hours but I think thats a bit of an exaggeration as by the time its 24 hours you would of normally put some more on anyway. However besides this doubt, it smells nice and also protects your face from the sun as its 20 SPF. Its also suitable for sensitive skin!

Okay, the concealer isn't a skincare product but it still can just help you hide those little marks or small spots that seem to just appear overnight at times. I use this so I don't have to wear foundation in the day as its best to let your skin breathe a lot of the time. My friend recommended this concealer to me and it works amazingly, my spots are always toned down and my small marks have gone.
(Don't use on scars that are still healing or spots that seem infected because it will clog up the pores more).

Thanks

This is my make up bag, I don't have much in it because I generally don't wear much make up everyday but I will do a post for "going out make up routine" later on.

I'm quite particular when buying make up because its so easy to buy the wrong thing and waste money so I always ask the make up artist or maybe a friend to see if its actually worth trying.
The piece of make up I couldn't live without has to be my eyeliner, I love making my eyes look enhanced so this is an essential to do so and I feel naked without any!
I have only just tried MAC make up and I can see why theres so much hype! It doesn't feel greasy or heavy on my skin and the colour is a great match to my skin so I would recommend it to anyone! (I use MAC SPF 15 colour ). I also didn't know you primed your skin before you put on foundation, I usually only use this when I go out as I think its to much to do every day and would eventually be bad for your skin.

What make up cant you live without? Anything to recommend?
